March 21 is Knit For Peace Day

I have been a knitting fool lately. I have socks on my needles right now and today I knit a prayer shawl for myself to use to help achieve a peaceful environment during labour.
I've knit a baby blanket, booties and little bonnet for the new baby plus a sweater for myself.

Introducing Baby Ossie!

I am so pleased to announce that we have a brand new grandson. He is named after his paternal great grandfather, James Oswald "Ossie" Lipscombe and the new baby's name is Ossie Richard (my dh) Roderick(his paternal grandpa).
I was blessed to be my daughter's doula again and I couldn't be more thrilled. He weighed 8-1 and measured 21.5 inches.
So cute!
Big brother is so proud!
