Last night I spent a night tossing and turning with my usual Lupus aches and pains to finally fall asleep in the early morning hours. I was awoken by a call from my son asking me if I would be able to watch our youngest grandson for a few hours. My first initial thought was to say no, I'm not feeling well. Promising to return his call once I awoke I contemplated how nice it would be to spend the day with that sweet precious boy. Called him back and he brought him over right in time for his nap. I felt like I'd won the lottery when I cuddled him to sleep and I realized what a necessary joy and privilege it is to hold a little one. The best medicine God ever created.
